When I heard that my sculpture "Whispers" had been rented for the movie, Gothika, being shot in Montreal and starring Halle Berry and Robert Downey Jr. I was intrigued. I finally saw it on TV. Unfortunately the sculpture is in the office of a character who gets bumped off in the first 10 minutes of the movie and my piece is on screen for about 3 nanoseconds.
Here are a couple of shots of the installation. The opening was well attended; around 100 people came through Thursday evening. I'm still hoping for some critical review of the show to appear in the media. The exhibition is open to the public, Wednesday to Sunday, 10am to 4pm until July 4th, 2004.
I've begun to add the maquettes (sketches) to my photo album entitled 'Casse-tête Series'. These sculptures are approximately 4" high, unique (1/1) and cast in bronze. The heads are free standing on the base , that is they are not attatched to the base and therefore can be arranged in various ways. I should explain that casse-tete is french for jigsaw puzzle but the literal translation is broken head.
